Wow!!! I received this book today, opened it and couldn't put it down until the ending.Christian Romantic Suspense is my favorite genre and this book meets my expectations.
The suspense keeps pushing you through every page.You keep yelling at the bad guys and cheering for the good guys.
Joy Ohagwu has a way with words and vividly portrays the main characters,Erica and Jim.
These two characters are thrown together again aboard an airplane.She is the flight attendant and he is the U.S. Marshall Being thrown together in a hostage situation reinforces the attraction Jim has for Erica.
To understand more about these two and to get the full effect of this book, you need to read book 1 of the series.
Proverbs 3:5, the verse for the book is appropriate. It reminds us that we need to trust in the Lord with all our hearts instead of ourselves and he will direct us to the end.

This is the second book in the series and it didn't disappoint. Loved Erica's story. It shows how fear can hold us back from what God has in store for us if we trust Him. Can't wait to read the next book in series series!
A definite page turner! Once I started I couldn't put this novel down! I felt like I was right there beside Erica & Jim following their relationship with each other & with God! Joy Ohagwu is the next Karen Kingsbury!

I usually do not read spense books but was out of reading material, the series was priced well and the name of the author, Joy sold me. Well written. At first I was thinking oh great an author filling her story with preaching and verses. Was I proven wrong. I am a prayer warrior and was blessed to see how Joy placed the importance pray was to ones life and relationships, was remarkable. This vision she drew for us is not impossible but with a willing 💓 very Possible and Positive.
Initially, I didn't care for Jim and the way he pushed her to open up so quickly. He did grow on me and I enjoyed the storyline. However, there were times when the words and phrasing were like reading a paper being turned in for a grade. It was strange and I do not know anyone who speaks that formally. It is not a book I would read again, which is something I do when I truly enjoy a book.
I LOVED this book and am enjoying this series! Ms. Ohagwu did an outstanding job once again writing the story of Erica with it's emotional plot twists and family dynamics! So glad Erica and Jim got their HEA! I couldn't put the book down until finished! Looking forward to the next book in this series! I highly recommend this book.
I love giving writers good reviews, so it pains me to say that I think that this story needs a complete rewrite. To our FATHER IN HEAVEN I give you thanks for this writer's creativity. This story did not flow from scene to scene well. 1. Jim's father was only 5 feet tall? 2. Vacation home in Hawaii that no one uses? 3. A dock cannery in Ohio? 4. Second floor apartment, there is no way to place a dead rat on the sill or to glue a window shut. 6. How did the woman have enough money to make the first visit after being released from prison? 7. I could understand the trust issues, but the scenes of her running from minor interactions did not seem appropriate. To the writer, please try a rewrite.

What should of been a short 1 1/2 hour flight for her, changes her life.
A US Marshall was needed on this flight, so Jim cancelled his vacation. Surprising Erica, since she hadn't seen him, since her sister Stella and Michael got married. A fugitive was on board, within minutes he's holding a knife to Erica's throat. Jim came to the rescue and the plane returned to home base. You would think ,no fuss, no one hurt. The airline, top boss, wants her out of the air, to train recruits in Washington. Not asked, but told, either you take or resign.
